I. Is climate change for real?
Down To Earth asked its readers if they were noticing any changes in climate. The report
on local perceptions shows some interesting trends. DTE has also put together information
from across the world on what scientists are finding in terms of climate change. The
review is fascinating as it shows that trends from across the world point to a frightening
and real change.
Please do read the story in our January 15, 2005 issue; we are sure you will find it
important enough to highlight in your articles.

II. Strange Weather
News about strange weather phenomena continues to envelop us this winter - such as the
snowfall in Ras-al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. The Indian Met office continues to
deny that anything is changing in global climate. See our website (LINK) for our Down To
Earth cover story on what scientists say about changing weather and its relationship to
global warming.
