Data collected by the unit is also used to prepare comprehensive contact directories on various specialised areas, including water harvesting, environmental health, and climate change, among others. These contact directories help activists, NGOs, researchers and government departments to network, dialogue and strengthen capacities of groups and individuals working on natural resources. All directories include the names, addresses, telephones, and wherever possible, the e-mail and website information of individuals and institutions. The databank is constantly updated and the unit provides the latest contact information. The unit assembled information for WATER LINKS2, a directory of individuals and organisations involved in water harvesting in India and abroad, which has grown to become the backbone to the national water harvesters network initiated by CSE. Similarly, Health Links, a directory on environmental health includes contact information on experts on environmental health worldwide. Natural Resource Links is another directory prepared by the unit. It collected scattered information from annual reports of the respective government institutions, state information centres, and various government ministries, etc. In addition, the unit also collects information about people who share CSEs concern for the environment and equitable development strategies. A fortnightly newsletter, Whats New at CSE keeps CSE friends and other stakeholders regularly informed about the institutions activities and needs. Contact us: |
