Notes:

* : At the time of house listing, each household was asked to specify the source of drinking water to the household, that is whether the household gets its drinking water from well, tap, handpump, tubewell, river, canal, tank or any other source. The households were also asked whether the source of drinking water was available to them within the premises or not. On the basis of the source, drinking water has been classified as ‘safe’ or otherwise. If the household had access to drinking water supplied from a tap, handpump or tubewell situated within or outside the premises, it is considered as having access to safe drinking water
