The month ending August witnessed much activity on the vehicular pollution front in India. The media spotlight fell on Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Assam gearing up to adopt either CNG or expand LPG use. Coverage of bio-fuels, gaseous fuels, and in-use vehicles remained in focus. In some cities the periodic drive to enforce PUC remains popular
