In the world two kind of people are there,
One are rich other are poor,
Rich are famous every where
Poor is not anywhere.
Every people needs three things a lot,
Foods, shelter, and clothes.
Those who have all these things,
They are not poor in their life.
People depend on many things
Related with each other.
Those are poor around here
They would feel what poverty actually is
Morning, evening and noon
One who do not have shelter.
One who lies down outside the road
One does not have clothes
He begs for a single cloth
People who are poor in life would feel the misery of life
God created the world
We created poverty in world,
We can’t imagine a life of poverty,
Only poor can tell what it feels like.

When the world of modern age is there;
Science is spreading every where
Why the people are poor?
It may due to lack of ability and competence,
And love and benevolence,
But one can increase its activities.
By not merely doing formalities.
Another could be some the corruption in politics.
‘NETAS’ follows corrupt practices.
But who can dare
To make them run like a mare
Or get scared, or even arrested.
And I can’t think how
One can eat the food meant for the cow.
So the poverty can be eradicated
By abolishing these practices
And people should contribute,
By giving scientific aptitude.
Then people will not remain poor
And they will be more aware.

They want job,
But they get no job
Gaining no money,
So spending no money

Go on taking loan
Others abuse them
Others accuse them
People gamble

At home no frying
All are crying
Having good health
Having good wealth
Health is wealth
Health is fit
Wealth may be quit
Famine comes
Money runs
Loan, loan, loan
People are poor,

But poverty is not bad
Bad is the problem
Created by poverty
Rich are more rich
And poor are more poor
Due to
Inequality of income
Joys are less
And aspirations are more
Some are employed
And some are unemployed
People are poor
Government can’t hear
They give liberty
And the problems caused by liberty
Such that poor have no food
And government wants bribe
Government is corrupt
And the problem is stagnant
"Educate people
Stop hoarding and black marketing
Control population"

As I look outside my window
There is a huge shadow
I can see only poverty
As some people are hoarding money
This shadow has a long tale
With a head and a tail
Our country has a rich and glorious past
But at present it is sinking down fast
As there are many people fighting over creed and caste
It seems that there is greed
And honesty has passed
It was the land of plenty
But now all the fields are empty
Population is growing day by day
It is a blunder I say
This year brings into many eye tears
Our country is seeing nightmares
Let us all start thinking
How to stop our country from sinking

It is tough for poor to make two ends meet
Lucrative avenues are only for the rich
They have carved for themselves a niche
Unemployment is the order of the day
There, in the park a depressed man lay
I asked, "why are you so sad dear?"
He said, "oh! Please don’t come near
I am sick of this dirty place
I haven’t eaten for two days
Studied hard throughout my life
What do I get? No food for children or wife
All because of the reason
That I am not a rich person
But they don’t realize
It seems that they do not care
Until and unless I get a job
How can I get on the top?
So here I am a poor man
And I shall always remain a poor man".

There came a giant situation to my door,
A giant fierce and strong:
His steps were heavy on the floor
His hands were ten yard long
I remembered through and through
At length I looked him in the face.
The giant introduced himself as a ghost
The heritage of our country
Despite progress, India is a poor country
The ghost weak in every part
With him flees the truthful heart
I saw sunshine fall
Looks like happy days will not arrive yet,
Looking at him I saw miserable conditions
Price rise and other deplorable conditions.
Slum settlements tell their own tale
Beggars tell a different tale
A mixture of richness and poverty
Rich become richer
Poor become poorer
Economic position is grim
Rays of poverty beam

Last night, I had a scary dream
That woke me up with a scream
I was in the next millenium
I thought why people were poor?
Then I realized
"Poverty has increased
Breathing space decreased
Mouths to feed were plenty
But food to eat was scanty
There was no work to do
And no income and money
And people became poor
They lived in small huts
Wearing bad clothes
Living a miserable life"

Do you really know why people are poor?
Then Oh! My dear friend
Let me make you understand
As you know, our country is cursed with corruption
Excuse me, I am sorry for this interruption
I think you know that population has greatly increased
And thus breathing space has decreased
Mouths to feed are plenty
And food to eat is scanty
More than three fourth part of earth is water
But amount of water for drinking is shorter
Now, let’s talk about corruption
It is the main cause for our growth obstruction
This corruption is seen everywhere
And other hazards are viewed here and there
One of these is poverty
Directly hampering our country’s integrity
The problem is understood by fewer
Which makes the rich man richer
And the poor man poorer
For India is a big democracy
But most people follow the path of hypocrisy
For that matter, we should realize this fact
That we must stop this exploiting act
There is one thing that I really hate
‘How people leave their lives on pre-destined fate’
Rather they should struggle, rebel and fight for their right
They should listen to the need of the day
Awaken, arise and make their own way.
Then you will see that no one will remain poor
Then our long diseased India will find a cure.
