ABOUT THE MAP
This clickable groundwater map is a compilation of available
data. This hydrological information is adapted from the research
data of the Central Groundwater Board (CGWB). Such secondary data
is supplemented by primary data collected from CSE's model projects
on rainwater harvesting. This map provides in-depth hydro-geological
data on various administrative 'blocks' in Delhi.
What is the purpose of this map?
- Making available data and documentation accessible to civil
society
- This map allows for more effective and site-specific water harvesting
systems
This clickable map provides information at three levels: at the
State level, Block-level, and at the specific locality. This map
provides a snapshot of Delhi's groundwater status, including the
extent of groundwater exploitation, seasonal fluctuations in water
levels and quality, and rainfall data. A special feature of this
map is the detailed hydro-geological information about 25 locations
